Who We Are

The Class was formed as a young men's group which originally was an important part of a vibrant Sunday School at Westmoreland United Church in the west end of Toronto.

The Class weathered the depression of the thirties, the war-torn years of the forties, and the many changes that emerged in the following decades. The Ministry of the Class flourishes by providing Christian Fellowship for its members and by helping others in the community.

Membership is made up of men and women of all ages, from all walks of life, who share a desire to serve God in ways that help bring relief to the less fortunate and ways that help bring peace to troubled souls.

The Class supports itself by the voluntary financial offerings of its members and supports it’s Outreach Program through the voluntary efforts of it’s members.

About the Show

The Beavers, like all groups got together socially and at some time during these gatherings a sing song would break out and they thought they were good.  So they were.  They got the idea of putting on a show and like all projects prayed, for by people inspired by God to show His love towards others, the show took off and flourished.  That was 72 years ago and the show is still going strong.  In fact the Beaver Bible Class’ Spring Fling is Toronto’s longest running sketch and musical review Show.

Today they put on  two Saturday shows, a matinee, and an evening performance as well as a Wednesday matinee in March.  They perform to sold out audiences at each performance.

It’s a couple of hours of good clean family fun with jokes and songs everybody knows and can’t help but hum along with.

It’s a not to be missed experience.
