The beacon

Greetings to Dear Friends at St. Andrew’s

from

Louise Wanamaker

Louise and Bill moved to Nepean in July 2007. It was a difficult move after 37 years in Mississauga, but their daughter was anxious to have them living closer. Sadly, Bill passed away just over a year ago.

When in the Ottawa area, visiting their own families, Gord and Ann Anderson usually call in to see Louise, taking a recent Sunday order of service, and Beacon.  Louise enjoys reading news of St. Andrew’s, and appreciates Joan Collin’s forwarding of Beacons. Because of decreased mobility, Louise has not managed to find another church, but does attend occasional services held in the retirement home where she lives. She misses St. Andrew’s Memorial Church in Port Credit, and sends good wishes to friends there.

Text Box: Our Faithful God

Jesus took the loaves of bread, thanked God for them, and gave them to people.” John 6:11

When the disciples didn’t pray, Jesus prayed. When the disciples didn’t see God, Jesus sought God. When the disciples were weak, Jesus was strong. When the disciples had no faith, Jesus had faith. He thanked God…

God is faithful even when his children are not.
