SOLO:  Homeward Bound

In the quiet misty morning when the moon has gone to bed,

when the sparrows stop their singing and the sky is clear and red,

when the summer's ceased its gleaming, when the corn is past its prime,

when adventure's lost its meaning, I'll be homeward bound in time.

Bind me not to the pasture: chain me not to the plow.

Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow.

If you find it's me your missing, if you're hoping I'll return,

to your thoughts I'll soon be listening, in the road I'll stop and turn.

Then the wind will set me racing as my journey nears its end,

and the path I'll be retracing when I'm homeward bound again.

Bind me not to the pasture: chain me not to the plow.

Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow.

In the quiet misty morning when the moon has gone to bed,

when the sparrows stop their singing, I'll be homeward bound again.

The Minister of our sister Latino church, Obed Venzuela, shared with us this devastating news.  An electrical fire at the home of his pastor friend has taken the life of the pastor’s son and left the pastor, his wife, and his remaining son homeless and with nothing salvageable from the ruins of the fire.

This family desperately needs to be kept in our prayers.

If you would like to read the newspaper article you can find it at this site

If you would like further information, Obed has sent us an English contact, Josué Peniche

josuepear@gmail.com

High shipping costs to Mexico makes it unrealistic to send material goods to this family.  They could benefit from financial aid but since we are unsure of any Canadian Income Tax implications we recommend you contact Josue or your local Federal government representative for assistance.  There are no rules, regulations or challenges if your direct line to God is open for prayer and support for this family.  We can all pray for this family.
